These are photocopies of photographs found among documents that came with the boat. My best guess is this first one was probably taken in Picton marina in the Marlborough Sounds in the 1980s. The boat by this time has a bow rail and the name "Sea Prince" on blue boards attached to the cabin. These were still in place in 2006. The cockpit interior is painted yellow and from the red pencil lines drawn between the cabin windows it appears consideration was being given to making these into one large window.
This second photo appears to have been taken on a maintenance berth, probably near Picton in the early 1990s. The owner at that time lived nearby in Blenheim. A blue cockpit cover had been added which was still on the boat in 2006 - but had to be discarded since it was way past its use-by date! The cabin has also been repainted, as the black outlines around the cabin windows have gone, as have the blue lines around the edge of the cabin roof.
These three pictures show the original interior. Unfortunately they appear to have suffered water damage, making it difficult to identify some features. The top left photo (with orange curtains) is the earlier version since it has a blue galley benchtop. The purple benchtop was still in the boat in 2006 (but with newer purple curtains!). The forward bunk (starboard) was only 5ft long and the port bunk had only a four inch passageway between the engine cover and the top of the bunk. The wheel, instruments and controls, as well as the gimballed brass compass were all still on the boat in 2006.
